New oil deposits discovered in Libya
The National Oil Corporation of Libya together with Tatneft, has discovered new oil deposits in the Gadamis basin with a flow rate of 1870 barrels per day.
«The Libyan branch of PJSC Tatneft as a second party and the National Oil Corporation of Libya, which are partners under the exploration and production sharing agreement… They announce the discovery of new oil deposits at the 82 block 4 site in the Gadamis basin as a result of testing the F1-82/04 exploration well at the new field»,- NOC reports.
It is noted that the exploration well was drilled to a total depth of about 2.6 kilometers and is located about 330 kilometers south of Tripoli. The achieved flow rate is 1870 barrels per day from sandstones of the Devonian and Ordovician periods.
