China to receive even more oil from Kazakhstan

Oil exports from Kazakhstan to China will increase. Astana assured that it will be able to supply up to 10 million tons of oil. Kazakhstan has also increased cargo shipments to China since the beginning of the year.

The head of the Kazakh Ministry of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev announced his country’s readiness to increase oil supplies to China. He recalled that now the export of Kazakh oil to China is more than 1 million tons.

According to the Minister, Kazakhstan has additional opportunities for oil exports. Satkaliyev assured that the country will be able to supply up to 10 million tons of oil to China.

“We are talking about the availability of free capacities in the pipe and the implementation of two projects jointly with our Chinese partners to expand the sections of the Kenkiyak – Atyrau and Kenkiyak–Kumkol trunk oil pipelines, which will allow oil to be sent from the western regions.”
