CNOOC launches large gas processing terminal in China

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has announced the launch of a large new gas processing terminal in China. This terminal, designed for processing of methane, has started work within the project on gas production at the field «Bojun 19-6», located in the Gulf of Bohai.
The field «Bojun 19-6» has a significant resource base, estimated at 100 billion cubic meters of gas. The new terminal will allow processing of up to 1.3 billion cubic meters of methane per year, which will provide reliable supplies of blue fuel to Beijing and adjacent provinces.
The Gulf of Bohai is one of the most promising regions for the search and extraction of hydrocarbons. As part of ongoing research and development, CNOOC recently discovered a sixth oil field with reserves of over 100 million tons of oil.
