ChinOil has reached high production rate of light oil

08 March 2018

Debit has been obtained from deep layers.

The construction of an operational horizontal well for deep beds has been completed.

The initial production rate of 150 tons of oil per day confirmed the high potential for developing deep horizons of the fields.

The deposits belong to the Lower Cretaceous deposits, formed almost 140 million years ago. They contain lighter oil than the main development facility, located 800 m from the surface. The new well with two pilot bore holes is 3.4 km deep and 4.6 km long.

Following hydrodynamic and field-geophysical studies, a multi-stage hydraulic fracturing of the formation will be applied in such wells.
