The Company’s breakthrough in IT

One of the key IT projects of ChinOil is an intelligent platform EAD (electronic asset development).

It integrates numerous digital solutions and a wide range of automated functions for effective deposit search and development. Among the main partners of ChinOil in development and implementation of new projects in the field of digitalization are friendly oil companies and international industry universities.

The compute environment has a total peak performance of more than 1.2 petaflops, and a unique computer system on Intel Xeon Phi processors (256 cores). All computer systems of SCC work with a single data storage system of more than 1 petabyte (or more than 1 million GB).

Computing resources are used to process large data files, including digital field models, well simulation and a range of other hybrid digital models that operate on the basis of numerical methods and machine learning systems.
