China’s CNOOC announced the start of oil production at the new blocks of the Kenli 6-1 field

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has announced the start of oil production at blocks 5-1, 5-2, 6-1 of the Kenli 6-1 field.
The Kenli 6-1 structure is in the lower Taipei uplift in the southern part of the Bohai Basin at an average sea depth of about 19 m. It is planned to put into operation 107 production wells, including It is expected that in 2024 the project will reach a peak production of about 36 thousand bpd. of crude oil.
CNOOC is the third largest national oil company in China after CNPC and Sinopec and is engaged in the production, processing and marketing of oil and natural gas in the offshore part of China.
