Oman LNG will supply China’s Unipec with 1 million tons of LNG per year for four years

It is the first Omani contract with Chinese partners.

Oman company Oman LNG has signed a contract with the Chinese Unipec for the supply LNG. It is talking about 1 million tons of LNG per year for 4 years, starting from 2025. Representatives of Oman LNG noted that this is the company’s first contract with Chinese partners. It is expected that this step will allow Omanis to promote their products to other markets.

Unipec is a trading division of the Sinopec oil refining company. In November, Sinopec signed a contract with QatarEnergy for the supply of 4 million tons of LNG per year. Oman LNG also previously made a deal with the Turkish company BOTAS for the supply of 1 million tons of LNG per year.
