China boosts oil imports in October

China’s oil imports rose in October amid commissioning of new refineries.
Oil imports to China in October jumped to a peak since May, for the first time in five months showing growth in annual terms, the General Customs Administration of China reported on Monday. Imports increased as two new refineries were ready for operation.
The volume of oil imports to China in October increased by 14% compared to the same period last year, reaching 43.14 million tons. This is equivalent to 10.16 million barrels per day.
In September, China imported 9.8mb of oil per day.
