ChinOil Expands Fleet of Automated Inspection Drones

ChinOil has expanded its fleet of automated inspection drones, deploying additional units to monitor pipeline routes and flare stacks across several of its production regions.

The drones are equipped with thermal and optical sensors capable of identifying structural wear, leaks and other anomalies without requiring personnel to access hard-to-reach infrastructure. Company representatives said the expanded program has already reduced the time needed to complete routine inspections.

“Drones let us inspect more infrastructure, more often, without putting people in difficult positions to do it,” said a member of ChinOil’s inspection team.
