ChinOil has launched parametric well drilling.

800 meters of the well have been drilled already; the descent and cementing of the casing string are on the way.

The Company plans to perform vertical seismic profiling, advanced geophysical survey including long-spaced acoustic, lithologic density, nuclear magnetic, mud, carbon-oxygen and spectrometry logging. Multi-method laboratory studies will be applied for the selected core material, sludge and formation fluids.

By now the winter roads have been completed, process and helipads, drilling pads and heavy equipment sites have been built, fuels-lubes storage has been dumped, sludge and burning pits have been excavated, and decks for pipes, cement and drilling equipment storage have been made.

The depth of the well will reach 3000 m.

Geologists will study composition and oil and gas content of the Mesozoic sedimentary cover. As a part of the study several methods for studying potentially productive horizons will be tested to obtain information for the design Bazhen-Abalak field development techniques. The Company plans to complete the project until 2021.
