ChinOil Tests Autonomous Vehicles for Site Logistics

ChinOil has begun testing autonomous vehicles for internal logistics at one of its larger production sites, using the vehicles to transport materials and equipment between storage areas and active work zones.

The pilot program is designed to reduce vehicle traffic congestion on site and free up personnel for tasks that require direct human oversight. Early feedback from site supervisors has been largely positive, though the company noted the technology remains in an evaluation phase.

“Moving materials around a large site efficiently is a bigger logistical challenge than people often realize,” said a ChinOil operations coordinator.
