ChinOil together with the Research Institute held an International Scientific Symposium on Oil Recovery
Current problems of enhancing oilfields development efficiency and increasing the degree of oil reserves refining were discussed.
The Symposium aims to analyze modern achievements of science and technology in the field of enhanced oil recovery and improve the management of projects and resources in oil production. The topics of the Symposium reports are focused on applying the latest technologies in the oil and gas industry, on the problems of studying and developing deposits with fractured hydrophobic collectors.
The work of the sections was organized as follows:
- “Assessment and experience of applying enhanced oil recovery technologies at the fields with carbonate and fractured reservoirs”;
- “Laboratory and field methods for studying and evaluating the efficiency of oil extraction from reservoirs with unconventional reserves (hydrophobic fractured layers, Bazhenov formation, etc.)”;
- “Results of oil recovery mechanisms research in order to create new technologies for enhanced oil recovery”.
The chief engineer of ChinOil gave a welcome speech. He noted: “It is very important to find solutions that will help oil industry to dynamically develop and form the number of orders for other industries”. Today, the oil industry depends more on how far it will be possible to maintain production level using technical measures and new technologies on the existing reserves. ChinOil engineer expressed his hope that the joint work at the Symposium will give a certain impetus “not to the movement breadthwise, but deep in the knowledge”, and solutions to improve the situation in the fields will be found.
