CNOOC has completed the longest deep-water pipeline in China

The pipeline connected Hainan Province with the semi-submersible floating platform Shenhai-1.

China’s CNOOC has completed the laying of the country’s longest deep-water oil and gas pipeline, the length of the pipeline was 115.5 km.

A new pipeline with a length of 115.5 km and a diameter of 0.5 m connected Hainan Province with the semi-submersible floating platform Shenhai-1. The laying was carried out in Lingshui Autonomous County on the southern coast of the island. The maximum depth in the laying area reaches 1 km. The identified reserves of the field are about 50 billion m3.

After the launch of the Shanghai-1 floating platform, the annual production volume at the facility increased to 4.5 billion m3, which is 1.5 times higher than before the launch. The Shanghai-1 platform was designed and built.
