CNOOC starts oil production at a field in the South China Sea

The development program includes drilling of 15 production wells.

The Enping 18-6 oil field is located in the South China Sea basin. The average depth of water in the subsurface area is about 99 m, the main production facilities include 1 wellhead platform. The field development program itself includes drilling 15 production wells.

Oil production at the Enping 18-6 field will reach the production shelf of 9.3 thousand barrels per day in 2024.
