03 July 2024
The Chinese offshore field Wushu 23-5 will be developed from the shore.
CNOOC started oil production at the Wushu field on 23-5. This is the first field in the South China Sea where production is carried out from the shore.
Wushu 23-5 consists of two new wellhead platforms and an upgraded Wushi terminal. In total, the company is going to put into operation 43 wells for the extraction of raw materials.
In two years, Wushi should reach a peak production of 18.1 thousand b/s.
Recall that China is currently paying great attention to domestic oil and gas production. The country will even create a special government body that will deal with the development of ultra-deep hydrocarbon deposits and various reserves.
