CNPC will produce more than 150 billion cubic meters of gas in China in 2023, import 90 billion cubic meters

CNPC plans to produce more than 150 billion cubic meters of gas in China by the end of 2023, which is 67% of the total production in the country, President of the company Hou Qijun said during the International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”.

According to him, the company’s imports this year will amount to 90 billion cubic meters, or 55% of China’s total gas purchases.

The CNPC President noted that China is the main buyer of Turkmen gas. “We are ready to implement agreements, create a closer energy partnership with Turkmenistan,” the head of the company stressed.
