The company plans to participate in the next licensing round in Mexico

This round is for oil and gas blocks.

ChinOil plans to take part in a tender for deep-water areas on the shelf in the Gulf of Mexico. About 30 companies have already passed prequalification.

Mexico planned to hold 2 tenders for oil and gas blocks on the shelf in the Gulf of Mexico in 2018.

January 31, 2018 the 4th tender of the 2nd license round (round 2.4) for deep-water blocks was held.

The tender included 29 deep-water and ultra-deepwater blocks in the Cinturon Plegado Perdido basin and other areas of the Gulf of Mexico.

On April 2, 2018, it is planned to hold the 1st tender of the 3rd license round (round 3.1) for the development of oil and gas blocks in the shallow part of the Gulf of Mexico.

In round 3.1 35 blocks in the basins of Burgos in the northeast, Tampico-Misantla and Veracruz in the central region and Sureste in the south have been put out to tender.
