Emirati ADNOC bought a quarter of Austrian OMV

ADNOC of Abu Dhabi has bought a fourth shares of the Austrian energy giant OMV from the Mubadala fund.
ADNOC of Abu Dhabi closed a deal with the Mubadala Investment Company investment fund to purchase a 24.9% stake in Vienna-based OMV, ADNOC said.
The value of the transaction is not disclosed. Now the shares in OMV are distributed as follows: ADNOC has 24.9%, the independent Austrian Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖBAG) has 31.5%, the remaining 43.6% stake is free flow (in free circulation on the stock exchange).
ADNOC also writes that it continues “indefinite” negotiations with OMV on a possible merger of two petrochemical subsidiaries — Borouge and Borealis.
