Iran has started developing the Tus gas field in the northeast of the country

According to NIOC CEO Mohsen Khojastemehr, eight new wells worth $200 million will be drilled.
Mohsen Khojastemehr, General Director of National Iranian Oil Company, announced the start of development of the Tus gas field, which is in the Khorasan-Razavi province in the north-east of the republic. This was reported by the Shana agency.
“One of the most important plans of NIOC to ensure sustainable gas supply in the north-east of the country is the development of the Tus gas field,” he said at the opening ceremony of the field development.
According to Khojastemehr, eight new wells worth $200 million will be drilled during the development. It is planned that at the second stage, gas production per day will amount to 5 million cubic meters.
