ChinOil summarized the development of the reservoir pressure maintenance system (RPMS) in 2017.

ChinOil implements the concept of RPMS development till 2020. RPMS organization started in 1960 and its development continues. Within the framework of this concept, ChinOil continues to implement promising technologies of RPMS aimed at reducing energy costs and increasing production efficiency.

Over 2017, the plan for the commissioning of new injection wells exceeded the target by 6.5% – 164 wells were put into production.

The dual injection technology (DI) is implemented at 69 injection wells.

ChinOil continues to work on protection of downhole equipment from high pressure and corrosion. To this end, high-pressure packers have been introduced at the injection wells. In total, 78% of the existing injection wells have been equipped with them.

In 2017, ChinOil widely used fiberglass pipes as intake tunnels to increase reliability of the water lines and to optimize construction and overhaul costs.
