The President of Iran officially commissioned the 11th phase of the South Pars field
During a tour of the facility and a personal meeting with workers, the President was accompanied by Iranian Oil Minister D. Oudji.
On August 28, 2023, Iranian President E. Raisi officially commissioned the offshore gas platform of the 11th phase of the largest South Pars field.
E. Raisi officially opened the 11th phase of the South Pars field at the zero point of the sea border. During a tour of the facility and a personal meeting with workers, the President was accompanied by Iranian Oil Minister D. Oudji.
“The gas produced in the 11th phase was transferred to the onshore gas processing plant via an offshore pipeline. Gas production is carried out from 4 wells of this phase,” said the head of the National Iranian Oil Company M. Khojastekhmer.
At the same time, the current volume of production at the 11th phase was not announced. Earlier, Iranian officials reported that production in the early stages of production in this phase will be about 10 million m3/day of gas.
The South Pars field is located in the Persian Gulf and is the world’s largest gas field. Currently, Iran produces 705 million m3/day of gas in South Pars.
